THE DOCTORAL COURSE IN School of Computer and Information Engineering HENAN UNIVERSITY

This program is intended for applicants who have graduated from Henan University and those from universities that have an Agreement of Exchanges with University (partner universities) to pursue a graduate course (doctoral program for the 2019/2020 academic year) at the Graduate School of Computer and Information Engineering , Henan University as follows:

1) The program consist of thesis research and course work. All instruction is either in English or in Chinese.
2) The program is a three-year doctoral course. Students will receive the necessary research guidance and are required to successfully pass the final examination and dissertation.
3) Students will be awarded the degree Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Henan University after completion of the course.

Applicants are requested to find a suitable supervisor and to contact the prospective supervisor in advance.

1) Nationality: Those who do not have Chinese nationality or the right of permanent residence.
2) Health: Those who are mentally and physically in good health.
3) Language ability: Those who have sufficient English or Chinese proficiency.
4) Arrival in China: Those who are able to arrive in China in October 2019/2020 ( for admission in October 2019/2020).
5) Educational record:
Those who hold a Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in China or those who are expected to complete the degree by September 2019/2020 (for admission in October 2019/2020).

Notes:
1) Military personnel and civilian employees of armed forces are not eligible.
2) If successful applicants are unable to arrive in China by the designated date, the offer of admission shall be withdrawn.
3) If applicants fail to graduate from their prospective universities by September 2019 /2020(for admission in October 2019/2020), their enrollment shall be cancelled.

(1) Master's degree certificate or proof of attendance and transcripts of the undergraduate and the master stage.
(2) A detailed CV containing a list of publications.
(3) A copy of the passport.
(4) Study plan.
(5) Chinese Proficiency Certificate or English Proficiency Certificate or equivalent language proficiency certificate.
(6) The original physical examination record form and the original blood test report or a notarized copy.
(7) Recommendation letters from two associate professors and above .
(8) Proof of non-criminal record.

Several scholarships are available, detailed information can be found in websites of Henan University, Students are encouraged to apply.

1) The Screening Committee decides acceptance or rejection of applicants based on the documents submitted.
2) Notification of admission will be sent to applicants.
3) If any statement on the application form or related documents is ascertained to be false, the Screening Committee reserves the right to withdraw any offer of admission even after enrollment.
